The Mushroom King Metropolis

I was out, cutting grass today and I kept seeing lightning. I knew it was a good 20 minutes away by the thunder and lightning differentials. But during one flash, I had a startling site, as if FATE had finally found me.

I kept pressing on thinking about that strike, which signified FATE. I looked into books and books and books. Websites, upon website, upon websites. Anything I could use to find this information I was hungry for. I finally found it, here.

Today, I look into my inactivity and I see it as a gain. I have been away, learning, and eating the many fruits of life. Today however, my mind stirs as if I saw another lightning bolt. Only this time, it tells me this:

"1 Merchant set out on a quest to sell his 5 quilts. His quilts were special, and were a way of bringing love and happiness to any home, family member, friend, animals, and everything in this world. He ended up selling his 5, 3 to people, 2 to other merchants. These merchants were going to sell them and spread the love and happiness to further parts.

These 2 Merchants were able to spread them to two more people, both family. These people who had the quilts decided it wouldn't be fair to let them go this far to be stopped now. So they decided to cut there quilts into 4 pieces, and spread them around to 3 more people. Adding 6 more people into the mix. So the quilts are now with 9 people.

The 9 people holding the quilts now were thinking about what they should do with there portions. They all decided it would be fair to split each of there quilts in 2 pieces and sell 1 of them. They sold all of the 9 pieces. Now with 18 people holding the quilt.

The original merchant set out one day to re-find his quilts and to make sure they were being spread, he managed to to find everybody and bring them all into one group. They all combined there pieces, and when they were all united into one household, something magical happened...

The pieces automatically changed back into a full quilt to make for 18 full quilts. These quilts then multiplied, and then all the new ones disappeared and found love with other people. All of these people knew the original origin of the quilt and returned to it's "birth" place.

These people all formed into one group of people, and they kept spreading the quilts, making there family of quilt holders grow and flourish. They would not let the quilts ever be kept by one greedy soul, they kept spreading, and thus, they flourished."

News Report: June 2nd, 2009- Our friend, FrostRotomFTW1997, got a chance to attend E3 in Hollywood, CA, where Nintendo was stating the future release of several new games, one of them being Super Mario Galaxy 2. If you view the below, the game already looks amazing. Other games include New Super Mario Bros. for the Wii, a new Legends of Zelda game, and even a new Mario vs. Donkey game. At the E3 event, the games could be tested by others, below are the trailers for SMG 2, and the New SMB:

The release dates include Mario Galaxy 2 released sometime in 2010 and the addition to the New Super Mario Bros. series around Holiday of 09. Stay tuned and as time goes on, we'll hear and learn more. :D 

News Report: June 2nd, 2009- Also yesterday at the E3 conference the revealed a bit of pokemon news. We may be a Mario Site but Pokemon is in the same franchise so we thought we would update you on this also.

This is the new boxart for Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky. While already released in Japan this is the English box art. This shows that more starters will be obtainable and Shaymin Sky Forme will also be in it. FrostRotomFTW1997 has the game in Japenese and is sure to know quite a bit about it so below we eventually will have a small couple of words from him.

"Recently, I played Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of the Sky. Much of the gameplay was identical to its predecessors, Explorers of Time and Explorers of Darkness, however, there were a few changes that made the game worthwile. One of these were the special episodes. When you got to a certain point in the game, the game would notify you that a "New Special Episode" has been unlocked. They're are five to be unlocked during the main soryline, including how Bidoof started his guild, how Dusknoir and Grovyle made it back to the future, and much more. They're is also a hidden sixth episode at the end of the game with a very special Pokemon, but I won't say too much. Another cool feature was the inclusion of Giratina's Origin Forme and Shaymin's two formes that weren't included in the predecessors. More starter Pokemon were availible. Would I reccomend buying this game? For me, the answer would be no if I had to do it over again. The reason being is that no HUGE main plot changes were made, and the special epsidodes weren't my cup of tea. HOWEVER, if you are a Shaymin fan, and would like to know the inside scoop around the guild, this is the game for you!"

All we know in english so far is that this game is going to be an expansion of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, Explorers of Time, and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, Explorers of Darkness. The game will also be released sometime this Fall but an exact date is to elusive for us to find ATM. But keep watching MKM news you never know when we will get more information.

News Report: June 2nd, 2009- We have now reached a great point in our forums. They are starting to sprout slowly but surely and hopefully we get some more members from our Mario Kart Wii tournament which is talked about below. One thing we are going to do now is start a count down to 100 members. At this point we are reaching a state of lively ness. So we are going to count down till then. Once we hit 100 we are at a great point in MKM History and from that point on we can only go UP!

However we will not ever reach this goal if we don't have members to help advertise our site and members who stay active. We are going to add some banners, avatars, and userbars for everyone to put in there signatures at other websites or basically anywhere they want

News Report: May 9th, 2009- Today is a day to mark down in the history of pokemon. Gold and Silver remakes have FINALLY been revealed. This is probaly the best thing to happen thus far in pokemon history and is something I look forward to in the future. I will get images and such soon as right now I must go to sleep as it is night time in mario land. :D

News Report: April 30th, 2009- There is a new WarioWare game to the series and it has just been released in Japan yesterday on April 29, 2008. The game is called WarioWare: Myself, also known as Made in Ore. What makes this game unilke any other WarioWare game you've played? It is because you can create your own microgames! That has been one of my biggest desires of the WarioWare games for a long time. You can also hence the title along with creating your own music and comics and all of thsi can be shared via Wi-Fi connection. :D

  News Report: April 11th, 2009- Due to inactivity on the forums we decided to make a promotional youtube video. Me, Luigi, and Wariopower created a quick little discussion about the promotional techniques. So we recorded the discussion and put it on a youtube video for audio.   News Report: April 10th, 2009- The second MKM podcast is now up and running. The participants in this one were: Charizard88 (Brett), LuckyLuigi7 (James, -Luigi-), Wariopower (Shaun), HeatRotomFTW1997 (Jason), and valk (Reece). Some of the many topics we talked about include: Possible forum update, new smilies, a mysterious hacker, Nintendo DSi Review, Mario Game Reviews by Delta Discussion, staying active, and a reinstating of the rules.   News Report: April 5th, 2009- The DSi was released on April 5th 2009. So quick facts about the DSi are below along with a picture of the DSi. So if you want you to hear more about the DSi please listen to our podcast which covers details on the DSi in depth. But for now I just thought I would remind you it was released and that you should most definatly look out to buy one if you don't have a DS/I-Pod/I-Touch/Cell Phone/Wii.

• The DSi has an Internet Browser which of course requires a wireless internet signal around our location.
• The DSi has to cameras. One on the inside and one on the outside. They have fairly nice quality pictures to.
• The DSi also has a way to record sound. They can be recorded in 10sec. clips which is relatively short but it is workable.
• The DSi also can play DS games while having a DSi shop channel where you can buy DSi games. Some of these games are compatible with your camera to. :)
• One negative to the DSi though is it has no GBA slot.

  News Report: March 22nd, 2009- Pokemon Platinum was released on this date. It introduces some new features to the game and is a really advanced version of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. So if you want to play it again and have the fun all over again this is definatly a game to buy to play on your new DSi. ;) Some in-depth coverage is in our podcast. So here are some quick facts.

• Shaymin Land Forme now has a new forme, Shaymin Sky Forme
• Giratina Another Forme now has another form, Giratina Orgin Forme
• Rotom now has a couple new formes, Mow, Heat, Fan, Wash, and Frost

  News Report: January 11, 2009- For those who are fans of Mario RPGs, particularly Super Star Saga, you will love the new game that is being released in Japan on February 11, 2009. It is the third game of the Super Star Saga Series, Mario RPG 3. That is at least the title that is confirmed at the moment. I believe the title will change to something a little more broad as we find out more information about the game. The game will feature Mario, Luigi, Peach, Toadbert, Bowser, and possibly Fawful like in the series before, and the plot involves Mario and Luigi solving the puzzle of the mysterious disease, Metakoro, which causes the victims inflicted with it to swell in significant amounts.      News Report: October 2, 2008- The third revamp of the Nintendo DS is now revealed! It's has music playback and two camera functions and a slot where you can slide in your SD Camera to edit and export pictures onto it. It has internet capabilities and has a similiar internet shop channel like the wii where you can download a program related to picto-chat for the DS series called moving memo. It may have less battery life depending on which level of brightness you set it on, but it is still worth it. It's frame is larger but thinner which makes it small enough to fit in your pocket! It's defenitely going to be awesome ranging in price around 175 dollars. It's worth waiting for!

     News Report: August 25, 2008- Super Mario Sluggers releases in the U.S for the Nintendo Wii. This game features over 40 playable characters, 8 baseball fields to play including toy field, and a unique and fun story mode with missions to obtain brand-new allies. The game is worth the money and the time! It's defenitely a great buy! :)
